What's included

Six good reasons

Three daily briefings

The Rope Drop Report in the morning, Parade of News at midday, and the Fireworks Finale each evening — each edition covering its own slice of the day, with a "why it matters" on every story.

Smart Alerts

Only the news that matters — a couple of alerts a day at most, with overnight quiet hours and your muted outlets always respected.

Zero ads

Every feed, every screen, completely clean. Nothing between you and the news.

Native Reader

Stories open in a beautiful dark reading view — your choice of size, spacing, and font, with nothing between you and the story.

Read offline

Saved stories keep their full text in your library — queue up the flight reading before you leave for the airport.

Support independent coverage

Your membership keeps DIScovery News running — and readers keep landing on the outlets that do the reporting.

The briefings

Three editions, three moods

Each edition covers a different slice of the news — not the same stories renamed. Everyone sees the mastheads and headlines; members read every word.

Mornings · ~8 AM ET

Rope Drop Report

Everything that happened overnight, ready before you're through your first coffee — so you walk in knowing the day's story.

Midday · ~1 PM ET

Parade of News

The morning's announcements and openings, rounded up while they're still fresh — a catch-up built for the lunch break.

Evenings · ~7 PM ET

Fireworks Finale

The full-day wrap: every story that mattered in the last 24 hours, closed out with one to watch tomorrow.

News+ questions

How does the free trial work?

Your first 7 days are free, with everything unlocked. After that it's $4.99/month, billed through your Apple ID. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged at all.

Where do I subscribe?

In the app — during setup when you first install, or anytime from Settings → DIScovery News+. Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so there's never a card number to type.

How do I cancel?

iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DIScovery News+ → Cancel. You keep News+ until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription, and refunds are handled by Apple.

I subscribed, but the app doesn't show it — help?

Open Settings → DIScovery News+ and tap "Restore purchases" — that re-checks your Apple ID and reconnects your membership, including on a new phone. Still stuck? Write to [email protected].

Does my membership support the outlets I read?

Your membership funds DIScovery News itself — the aggregation, the briefings, the alerts. The outlets are supported the way they choose to be: stories open on their sites, videos play through their channels, and podcasts stream from their own feeds, so their visits, views, and plays all count.

See more of the magic

DIScovery News+ launches with the app. Request a beta invite now, and try News+ free for 7 days when it arrives — if it's not for you, the free app is still the whole app.

$4.99/month after the trial · Cancel anytime

DIScovery News+ is an auto-renewing monthly subscription billed to your Apple ID. It renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited when you purchase. See the Terms of use and Privacy policy.
